Yep it's me!

At the airport, the largest halibut on record.

My ride in Ketchikan Alaska, a 1958 Beaver. Just a note, there is no air controller, everyone has to look out for everyone else. Including the comercial air traffic that lands on the other side of the passage from Ketchikan. A few hundred planes every few hours taking off and landing on the water.

Blue ICe. The suns rays are absorbed by the ice on the mountains except for the blue rays which are reflected out. Pretty cool to view.

A Very cold entrance to Alaska from a mountan pass near Skagway Alaska.

I just got back from a 10 day trip to Alaska. Took a 7 day cruise on Carnival Spirit. Was a interesting trip on a south bound inside passage. The first part of the trip is in the Gulf of Alaska. We got into a storm with 60 mph winds and 30' seas. Even a cruise ship has it's limits. Other than that I learned that one wants to visit Alaska in June or July. In August the rains start and the weather isn't as nice. I got to see plenty of seals, orcas, and otters while on the cruise, but missed out on the whales. All in all, a nice but wet vacation!
